Joseph & Allondra | Pittsburgh Engagement Photography at Mellon Park

Some relationships begin with a grand moment. Others begin quietly, long before either person realizes they are standing at the beginning of something important.

For Joseph and Allondra, it started in high school.

They became friends first, building a connection through everyday conversations, shared experiences, and simply enjoying each other’s company. As time passed, that friendship naturally grew into something more. Neither of them knew exactly where life would take them, but they continued moving forward together.

After high school came college, new responsibilities, and new goals. Along the way, they both developed an appreciation for numbers, facts, and careers that challenged the way they thought. Through every milestone, change, and difficult season, one thing remained consistent.

They were still each other’s number one person.

Their Pittsburgh engagement photography session gave them a chance to slow down and enjoy a quiet evening together before the next chapter begins.

They started at Mellon Park in Shadyside, surrounded by iron fences, beautiful architecture, and the final warmth of summer. They walked, laughed, spun around, shared a light jog, and finished with a smooth dip. Nothing felt forced. The goal was simply to capture them as they are together.

From Mellon Park, they made their way to Point State Park.

As the sun began to set over Pittsburgh’s three rivers, Joseph and Allondra stood together and took in the view. It was one of those simple moments that somehow says everything.

Two high school friends became a couple. That couple grew through college, careers, challenges, and milestones.

Now they are preparing to make it official.

And as they held hands beside the water, it was easy to see that their story was never just about how far they had come.

It was about where they were going next.
